Professional Summary
Dr. Asim Jaffary is an accomplished Consultant Surgeon with experience in General Surgery, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery, and Transplantation. Currently serving as Consultant Surgeon & Associate Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Affairs at Aga Khan University, Karachi.
Dr. Asim Jaffary completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College in 1989 and later earned his FRCS, a Fellowship in Transplantation, and a Master’s in HPB Surgery. His commitment to medical education led him to earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education, and an EMBA in Healthcare Management.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Jaffary actively contributes to academia and medical publishing. He serves as an Examiner at St. George’s University of London, UK, and as an Instructor for the Basic Surgical Skills Workshop at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also an Examiner & Supervisor at the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). As the Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Surgery and a Peer Reviewer for multiple international medical journals, he plays a key role in advancing surgical research and education.
